Ye Olde Ren Faire...
*Cough Cough*
Ugh...
I'm soooooo sick...
OK, not really... But that's what I told work.
And then I went on a road trip, hehe...
My excuse? I haven't seen one of my best friends since my birthday back in Feb. - and that my friends, is reason enough for me! Another of his good friends made the trip as well, and let me tell you - We Merry Three had a blast! Work can do without me for a day whilst I waltz around ye olde renaissance faire, dancing, shopping, watching Shakespearian plays, interacting with animals, eating, drinking, and sharing harty laffs with good friends...
There were aallllll sorts of things to see and do. I nearly went on a shopping spree, but since I'm admittedly a bit crafty, I figured I'd bring home ideas for projects instead... Not surprisingly, I found a friend there from my home area (and this is hours from home). She had a booth all set up with beautiful leather masks she makes. Interestingly when we all got talking, it turned out my friend and my friend's friend have a common friend!
(Go ahead, take a moment to think.)
Anyhow, it was one of those "It's a small world after all" moments. Funny stuff...
As the evening wound down and it was time to go, we were all pretty exhausted - between so much walking, the hot weather, and all of the excitement... You know, the whole smiles and sighs - when you've had an action packed day, and you're tired in a good way.
That's the good stuff...
And alas it was time to depart, and we were all hugs and kisses goodbye - bidding each other an almost pouty fare-thee-well until the next we meet...
Days like this is what it's all about...
